About 17,000 legal migrant workers come to Canada
to grow our vegetables, fruits, trees and decorative plants.
There are numerous towns, villages, and farms in Ontario,
where they appear each spring, just like the monarch butterflies.
Then they disappear in the fall. They return to their own countries to reunite with their families for a few months.
They come back again with renewed and refreshed hopes and dreams.
Colourful dreams like the wings of a butterfly. The dream of a better future.
Many volunteers get together each year
to Celebrate Father's Day, and to thank
the migrant workers for all their hard work.

The owners of Even Better Eco-Friendly Cleaning Services
are the voices for the Mexican Migrant Workers
in the Bradford and Newmarket area.
- In 2002 we started visiting workers on a regular basis, finding out what their basic needs are. Since then we have regularly delivered used clothing, blankets, pots, pillows, shoes, and other practical gifts. We visited them many times in their humble homes which are usually trailors or small bungalows. They have always welcomed us with big smiles and brotherly hugs.
-In 2003 we made a successful Garage Sale for the Mexican Workers in Thornhill, and we opened the Even Better Foundation.
- In 2004 we organized the first Father's Day Celebration.
Since that first time, the number of mexican workers attending this celebration is growing each year.
York Central Hospital employees happily show up annually to play their friendly soccer game against them.
-We also took many workers to the hospital, or walk-in-clinic when health care was needed because they had no other transportation, and also for interpretation purposes.
-We are here to bring some joy into their lives. We want to show them that they are not forgotten. We are here to speak up for them. We are here to bring awareness into the Canadian communities that the Migrant Workers deserve to be welcomed
and to be considered an important part of our society.
After all, they are here to stay.
We welcome any support from the community, new volunteers, gifts, used clothes, toys, or money donations on the Mexican Migrant Workers' behalf.
If you could teach English, that would be greatly appriciated.
